Pretty In Pine Wristers

I wanted to learn the Pine Trees Stitch ever since I saw it on the great site New Stitch a Day and make some holiday gifts which is how these wristers came into being.

For version one I used Vickie Howell Sheep(ish) in Grey(ish). For version two I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Forest Green Heather for the wrister and Mink Brown for the edging. Both yarns are really soft and great to work with; I think the Sheep(ish) worked up a little tighter, although I do tend to crochet a little tight. I thought the wool blends would make the wristers warm, especially with the open stitch I used. The Pine Trees Stitch is really fun, easy, and fast and I can’t wait to try it in other projects.

I haven’t yet written up this pattern but have been thinking about it.
